Welcome Reception

One ticket to the Welcome Reception is included with each registration (excludes day and half day registrations).  Additional tickets can be purchased for $90.00 (inc gst) via the online registration process.



Gala Dinner

Date: Thursday 2 May
Time: 1900 - late
Venue: The Lido Lounge, Blue Baths, Rotorua
Dress code: Evening attire (optional 1930s influence!)

Join friends and colleagues for a sensational night at the Blue Baths, a stunning Art Deco Heritage building with its backdrop of geothermal sapphire pools; the epitome of style and 1930's ambience!

Enter the Lido Lounge through a concealed entrance and step back in time to an age of glamour and exuberance. Embrace the challenges and revive the heyday of the 1930's era in this exclusive "Speakeasy"!

Enjoy a dinner-dance with exquisite food and fine wines, live band and dance the night away.

Redwoods Treewalk and Nightlights - FULL

Wednesday 1 May
Time: 1730 - 1930
Meet: Millennium Hotel for a transfer out to the Redwoods Treewalk, Whakarewarewa Forest
Dress code: Warm: no high heels!
Cost: $60 (inc gst) via the online registration process

Enjoy the majestic towering Redwoods Treewalk, a network of 23 suspension bridges, suspended high up in the canape of the enchanted Whakarewarewa Forest.  Appreciate the spectacular illumination at night whilst warming up with a glass of mulled wine in this captivating natural environment.  An invigorating and truly unique night leaving you feeling inspired, refreshed and rejuvenated.

You will be transferred to the Redwoods Treewalk via coach from the Millennium Hotel and returned to either the hotel or the Terrace Kitchen if you have booked dinner there following the Redwoods Treewalk .



Beer Tasting with Geoff Griggs

Dress code: Casual
Cost: $60 (inc gst) via the online registration process

Geoff Griggs is one of New Zealand's top beer critics. He is a competition judge and writer of all things 'beer'! He is renowned for his dry humour and knowledge about world beers. 

This will be a memorable event in which a variety of regional beers will be tasted by participants and then discussed by Geoff.  Highly entertaining - this will be interactive and a must for anyone wanting to do more than just 'drink' beer!



Mid-week Dinner at Terrace Kitchen

Wednesday 1 May
Time: 1930 - late
Venue: Terrace Kitchen, Rotorua
Dress code: Smart casual
Cost: $72.00 (inc gst) via the online registration process 

Network with friends and colleagues over dinner and enjoy a fresh and contemporary dining experience matched with NZ wines.

If you have booked either the Redwoods Treewalk or dinner at the Terrace Kitchen you will be transferred via coach to the restaurant. 

The Terrace Kitchen is also only a 10 minute walk from the Millennium Hotel and is a lovely walk through town and 'Eat Street'.  After dinner we recommend a walk down to the lake (five minutes away) or head back to one of the bars on 'Eat Street'.


Friday afternoon retreat


Polynesian Spa

Friday 3 May
Time: 1300 (Treatments at 1345, 1430 and 1515)
Venue: Polynesian Spa, Rotorua
Cost: $122.00 (inc gst) via the online registration process 

Finish your 2019 symposium with an afternoon of pure relaxation.  Delegates can chose from two treatment options either the Mud or Honey massage (30 min) or the Aix Therapy (30 min).   During the registration process you will be able to select your preferred treatment time.

Mud or Honey massage
You will enjoy a gentle body brushing followed by a warm mud or manuka honey mask being placed on your back, while your legs are massaged. Afterwards a Swedish style neck, shoulder and back massage will leave you in a world of bliss.

Aix Therapy
You will enjoy a dry back body polish exfoliation, your skin will feel smooth and revived before multiple jets of warm water stream across your body for a coconut oil relaxation massage on the back of your legs and back.

All therapies include a soak in the Deluxe Lake Spa hot mineral pools (before or after your treatment) to soften the skin and relax the mind.  To make the most of your indulgent retreat experience we recommend you allow at least three hours at Polynesian Spa to enjoy a hot mineral soak, your therapy and the relaxation lounge.

Remember to bring your bathing suit and footwear if preferred. Complimentary robes, towels, toiletries and hairdryers are provided. Lockers are also available to store belongings.
